Meet Our Pastor
Overseer TyShaun A.S. Brown, Sr., a native of the Bronx, New York, was born and raised in the fear and admonition of the
Lord. From an early age, he was immersed in church life participating in youth services, church plays, and The Sunshine
Band. Affectionately known as a “church baby,” his early involvement was a clear reflection of the divine call on his life.
The Lord saved Overseer Brown at a young age, and he quickly found himself active in ministry. His journey of servant
leadership began at St. John Apostolic Faith Church of God, Inc., where he faithfully served as a drummer. Over time, his gifts expanded as he ministered in music departments across the Tri-State Area, earning a reputation as a dynamic and
anointed Praise & Worship leader.
As a child, Overseer Brown began receiving prophetic dreams and visions. Despite his youth, he carried a spiritual maturity
that deeply impacted older generations. His life has consistently been marked by the tangible presence and power of God,
drawing many to Christ through the demonstration of the Gospel.
He was spiritually nurtured under the care and guidance of his great-grandmother, Pastor Margaret Chambliss. Through her
example, he witnessed the discipline and depth of true ministry grounded in fasting, prayer, revival, shut-ins, and the
preaching of holiness.
Guided by the truth of Job 23:10, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold,”
Overseer Brown has journeyed through trials, yet his love for God never wavered. Preaching since 2009, his message has
continued to evolve with power, clarity, and conviction. The undeniable hand of God has rested upon his life, opening doors
for him to proclaim the Gospel far and wide.
Overseer Brown was licensed, ordained, and prophetically affirmed under the leadership of his spiritual father, the late Chief
Apostle William R. Harrell, Jr., at St. James Community Full Gospel Church. In 2020, under the oversight of Bishop Hazel
R. Perry, he was released to pastor and founded The Remnant of Judah Christian Assembly, Inc. In January 2024, he was
called back to his home church, St. John Apostolic Faith Church of God, Inc., becoming the 6th pastor in succession. On
June 15, 2024, he was appointed to the office of Overseer.
After faithfully pastoring both congregations, Overseer Brown unified them under a new mantle, The Remnant of Grace
Church, Inc., a thriving assembly committed to revival and restoration. Though Overseer Brown has held many titles & responsibilities, the one he cherishes most is being DAD to his 3 beautiful children: Tylah, Tori, & TyShaun Jr.
In addition to his ministerial responsibilities, Overseer Brown is pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Southern
New Hampshire University. Whether in the pulpit, classroom, or community, his mission remains clear: to ignite the flame of revival wherever God sends him

The Impact We Make
A Church Committed to Revival, Restoration & Real People
It is our vision to be a dynamic, spirit-filled, multi-cultural church — impacting our community and our city through the teaching of the Word and the works of the ministry.
We exist to defy the odds and break the statistics. To change the outlook and culture of "church as usual." To create a no judgment zone — a safe space for the broken, depressed, and downtrodden to find healing, peace, and joy.
Our vision is to create disciples, strengthen families, and build productive kingdom citizens. To develop a remnant of real people, with a real praise, and a raw testimony — relevant to God's people.
"Where there is no vision, the people perish." — Proverbs 29:18
